Our Arts-In-Education activities enrich the lives of students throughout Tazewell County and beyond.

Award-winning storyteller and actress, Barbara Spilman Lawson, can be found sharing stories, singing songs and entertaining audiences up and down the East Coast.  She’s been telling tales with her own laugh-out-loud, comical twist for over 25 years.  During her performances, the audience becomes totally immersed in the magnificent experience of stories.

Barbara’s “Stories with a Twist” program are entertaining, interactive, and full of wild and wonderful stories and songs from all over the world.  A talented performer, she brings to life dozens of goofy, memorable characters as she weaves her hilarious tales

They have been instrumental in numerous community endeavors- church, the arts, business, sports, education-you name it. As they travel in a different direction we wish them well and will be missed by many. Bob and Nona have made their home Richlands for over 60 years, their hand print speaks volumes from the friendships they have developed.
